#1- Recreating an Egyptian Tomb

You are an ancient Egyptian and you are preparing for your afterlife. Please create a tomb that fits your needs based on your social status, wealth, occupation, etc.

Requirements:

Chose the status & occupation of your Egyptian character

Pick the time period in which your character is living: predynastic, old kingdom, first intermediate period, middle kingdom, second intermediate period, new kingdom, third intermediate period’

Remember the time period will dictate the rest of the decisions you make

Pick a type of tomb that fits with your character: pit, mastaba, pyramid, rock-cut tomb

Remember the type of tomb is dependent on status AND time period

Decide the decor of your tomb: wall paintings, reliefs, pottery, wood models, faience amulets, shabti figures, etc. There are SO many options

Based on your era and wealth will determine your artifacts

Pick your sarcophagus

Remember different time periods used different styles of coffins

This assignment can be done in several ways: essay, narrative story, cartoons, drawing with captions, 3d models, etc. I am open to creativity as long as you show your understanding of the subject matter. This is your chance to be creative if you want to be… if not this can be done in a research paper format: MLA format, 500+ words, double spaced, 12pt font.
