You are the owners of a small independent café based at Box Park in Shoreditch, East London. Business has been going very well and in the three years that you have been trading you have managed to turn a profit. Your customers keep telling you that they think you should consider opening a second branch at the Wembley Box Park. You think this is a good idea, but are concerned about replicating the warm customer focussed approach that you have become renowned for. Moreover, you’re worried that your cake supplier won’t be able to cope supplying two sites, as they are a single person (sole trader) working from a very small premises close to your Shoreditch site and they don’t own a commercial vehicle. You could change supplier, but the cakes almost always sell out before the end of the day, leaving you with very little waste and a very happy set of regular customers.
