PART ONE: INTRODUCTION
This should be about two (2) paragraphs describing the three domains you will be looking for and describing typical development for your age group (preschool age). You will need to list at least one typical behavior you would expect to see from each domain (physical, socio-emotional, and cognitive). Important: cite your sources here!

EXAMPLE:

I chose to observe the videos of (toddlers or preschool-aged children.) This age is in the ______ stage, so I expect that I will see that physically, they will be really good at ——- according to our textbook (Paris et all, 2018). I will add more details here to show that I understand this concept here.

The children I observe will probably demonstrate ——- cognitive behaviors (source, 2021). Again, some more supporting sentences here. Be sure to cite your sources (Typically, children at this age are learning how to —– as part of their social-emotional development (source, 2021). “I will even include direct quotes from my textbook” (Paris et al. (3.1.2)).

PART TWO: VIDEO SUMMARIES
List each video you watched with a summary of the contents. You should write about one paragraph for every 10 minutes of video (for example- A description of a 14-minute video should be about 1-2 paragraphs long. A description of a 30-minute video should be about 2-3 paragraphs long). Each video needs its own header.
EXAMPLE:

Daycare Video # 1 (31 minutes)

This is where I will write all the things I observed in this video. I will tell about the children I observed, I will write about the behaviors and skills I watched them do. Because this is a 30 minute video, I need to be sure to write about 2-3 paragraphs describing all the things I saw.

My paragraphs need to clearly describe what I see, and also be sure to leave out any of my opinions. I need to avoid trying to decide why a child would do something. I might say “Child in the red sweatshirt used their right hand to cut a circle out of a green paper with scissors.” I would NOT say, “Child was cutting their circle angrily because the teacher wouldn’t help” and I would not say “Child felt sad so she didn’t participate with the other children.”
