This capstone paper should read like an ethnographic; however it can be the writer’s choice. Whatever you think works best with references to symbolic interactionism as well as Ideology. The topic is on Police Culture and wellness practices. I will provide my transcripts with various participants that should be referenced or quoted, specific codes that I believe to be of importance, but feel free to deviate, as well as the grading rubric. I will attach the various websites that have “data” on my topic. Most are less than useful; however, it does show that this topic trending, it’s not incredibly new, and there is interest.

The overall final product should be one that will hopefully shed light on the importance of wellness programs in the police department, the limitations to such a plan (and the push back from within), as well as the possible benefits. In a time when everyone is so quick to point out the negative issues about everything, I just wanted to create a silver lining for people.

I am disheartened to rely on these services because it has been a journey to get approval from my advisor on this topic, and I wanted to see it through. I am thankful for such services, though, especially when my request for an extension has been denied, so thank you. I wanted to give this project the time and effort it deserved.
