GOAL OF PAPER: The goal is to write a research paper on the ethics of automation and
AI (using AI or other machines to do things), discussing what it is. The side I take is that I
AM FOR automation, so the research will mainly talk about all the ways it is ethical and
beneficial. Can discuss things such as the Trolley Car Problem, Self Driving cars,
automation in factories, bionic limbs(or anything else interesting). The counter argument
can be one paragraph on how it may be unethical, but the counter argument should be
refuted.
This is just a general statement, I would like for you to write the thesis statement.
My Standing: Automation should be allowed since it makes certain things such as factory work,
driving, and even surgery much safer and error free. The use of automation can help increase
the efficiency of things such as bionic limbs so that AI and machine learning can help them feel
more natural. Automation would help decrease human error so that less lives will be in danger,
and tasks are completed more efficiently and safer.
