Filing a Lawsuit

Billy is employed by Bull Dog Security company and works in Missouri at the factory outlet mall in Branson. Jane is an Arkansas resident who is in Branson for the day from Harrison to shop. While shopping, Jane is approached by Billy who asks her to come with him to an office where Billy accuses her of theft and searches her purse and person. Nothing is found that Jane had not paid for. Jane wants to sue Billy and Bull Dog Security for false imprisonment, assault, battery and intentional and negligent infliction of emotion distress. All of these are claims brought under state law (not federal statute). Jane’s lawyer believes her claims is worth $75,001. Oh, and one last thing, Bull Dog Security is an Arkansas corporation.
