Many, if not most, schools have a local policy regarding the use of electronic items in school. Should personal electronic items (laptops, tablets, cell phones, etc.) be freely used by students and faculty, or should restrictions be placed on such devices? How can a school or school system reasonably manage potential problems while taking advantage of the technological benefits?
