You were able to compare and contrast the performance with the written text. Now let’s request an encore for other passages that you have already read, which have also been adapted to the stage and screen. We’ll start with the St. Crispin’s Day speech from Shakespeare’s Henry V (IV.iii.1 —67).

Do you feel that the video clip effectively portrays and interprets the text? Does it help you to understand the interaction between Jean Valjean and the bishop? Why or why not? The video is not entirely true to the text; some changes have been made. Are these changes effective? Why or why not?
