(especially Sioux), California (especially Miwok and Maidu), and Kwakiutl.
Then compare the forms, materials and functions of these objects. How do
they support the etiquette and rules of behavior at the feasts? How do they
function as displays of the host’s wealth and/or gifts to the guests?
