Write a story about how the COVID-19 crisis has affected one person’s life.

This person could be anybody connected to UMKC or even not connected to campus. It can be anybody but a family member or friend.

I’d like this to be a little news feature story that examines how the pandemic has changed this person’s life – or at least all the ways this craziness has affected them.

Points: 40.

Length: About 600 words, give or take. It doesn’t have to be exactly 600 words.

This is how I will grade your paper:

A.Idea: 10 points.

B.Lead: 10 points. Is a real human being in your lead? That needs to happen.

C.How ambitious is your story? Did you challenge yourself or mail it in? 10 points.

D.Proper use of AP Style/punctuation: 10 points.

E.Story flow/organization/choice of experts interviewed. 10 points.
