Hewlett-Packard Company mainly known as HP was founded in 1939 by William R Hewlett and David Packard. It was formerly an American Multinational Information technology company that manufactured software and computer services. Then, it split into two companies in 2015; HP Inc and Hewlett Packard Enterprise; with now focusing on selling PCs and printers, and the other selling and serving enterprise services respectively. HP headquarters were located in California, US, while the subsidiaries Houston where the HP servers are manufactured. HP operates in more than 170 countries worldwide with approximately 55000 and a net worth of 250000 channel partners. While in recent research recorded a revenue worth USD 58.47B and a net income USD 5.32B.
Core products for HP are the printers, scanners and fax, Apps and services, monitors, laptops, gaming and desktops and all-in-one PCs. In the information technology industry, changes are most times fast and in large magnitude. However, HP’s penetration in the market has been quite slow with competition from Apple, Samsung and other software products being rampant and fast. HP is now more focused in digitalization by providing gaming services and app services that most other products are engaged in now not forgetting HP had taken over most of office operators like the printers, scanners, fax, and PCs.
Through offering training and opening/ partnering with electronic outlets like JB HIFI, promoting their workers HP is relatively a close competitor to other software manufacturers.
