Each week I will provide discussion prompts based on our lecture and assigned readings. The prompts are not essay questions, but they (hopefully) serve to inspire thorough and well considered posts. The key is to say something of substance and show that you have considered the prompt. Support your answer, argument, or observation with facts from your readings. No outside sources are needed to answer the discussion prompts. Your focus should be on using the class lecture and your assigned readings to support your post. Quotes and paraphrasing require citations. Citing sources is not optional.
There is a 250-word minimum for your initial post, and a 100-word minimum for your follow up post. Long quotes, compliments, and other filler do not count towards the word minimum. The maximum word count depends on what you are writing.
