As a healthcare provider, has this raised any ethical questions or concerns for you? There has been a lot of news and discussion regarding the Affordable Care Act (ACA) over the last several years. Healthcare reform is not a new topic, it has been something that has been debated for many years, but has just recently made legislative advances. It is not surprising with continued rising healthcare costs and all the variable characteristics in the financing of healthcare, that the public was spurred to pass this national reform. It is essential for the CHN to understand how government, law, and political action influences the public health system.
