Leadership Standards-A Personal/Professional Reflection

For All Students–Leadership Standards-A Personal/Professional Reflection-There are two parts, A & B to this assignment. A should be no less than five pages not to include the title and citations pages. B should no less than three pages not to include the title and citations pages. You can go over the page number if needed.

Part A– Review the Florida Principal Leadership Standards or the Florida Early Childhood Leadership Competencies and assess your characteristics as an aspiring educational leader by providing artifacts (a listing of trainings, other work, etc.) and reflections for each of the ten standards. List each of the ten standards and include strengths, growth areas, and how you plan to improve in each area. See the syllabus for more specific details. You can put this in chart or narrative form. Examples are included in our course for you to consider.

Part B-Write a philosophical platform for educational leadership. The platform should include (1) primary purposes of education and educational leadership; (2) the kind of leadership that is most needed in the profession today and why; (3) what motivates you to lead; (4) why and how you will be an effective leader and what you are most passionate about being able to contribute, and ;(5) based upon your current awareness of your strengths and growth areas that you identified in A, share what next steps you intend to take to enhance your leadership capacity.
