Identify a real-life example of a dilemma discovered either in the workplace, in direct contact with a client, or in a personal situation.

Students will identify a real-life example of a dilemma discovered either in the workplace, in direct contact with a client, or in a personal situation. The paper will explain the ethical dilemma, what the person did about the dilemma and why such a dilemma requires ethical consideration. For example, an ethical dilemma could be a situation where a client makes a sexual advancement on the case manager. Or, another example could be when a case manager discovers that another co-worker (also a case manager) is not providing adequate services to a client. Be creative, the choice is yours! Be sure to do some research for other ethical dilemma examples, as there are many.

HOW WILL THIS ASSIGNMENT RELATE TO YOUR FUTURE CAREER?

Case managers may find themselves in the middle of an ethical dilemma. Case managers need to be prepared in how to react, move forward, or contact a supervisor if and when necessary. At times, this type of experience happens and it is best to be prepared. This paper will show students what types of dilemmas can occur and how best to react.
