Write/type three substantive and thoughtful discussion points over the lecture to discuss
during class Monday (I do not want your notes).  These points should relate to, and expand
upon, the topics we’ve been discussing in class (e.g., poverty, inequality, race relations,
ideology, socialization, feminization of poverty, etc.).  Typically, points begin by referencing a
topic from the lecture and conclude with a question for the class.  Everyone will be expected
to share/participate.
Reflection:
Write/type a one paragraph reflection of the lecture.  This should illustrate your general
understanding of the content of the lecture and include your thoughtful response to the ideas
presented.  Reflections that do not demonstrate you watched the lecture will not earn a grade.

You may choose to watch the video closer to the end of break so that it’s fresh in your mind
for discussion Monday.  I expect a substantive discussion over the topics presented
