A book report “What’s the Least I Can Believe and Still be a Christian?: A Guide to What Matters Most by Martin Thielen”
Essays must be double-spaced, 12-point font, 1 inch margins, submitted as a Word** doc. in Moodle. Points will be deducted from essays that do not meet these criteria. Students can write in whatever format is fitting with their major (e.g. MLA, APA, Turabian, etc.), but students must ALWAYS correctly cite any outside material used in their essays.
Essay #2: Book Review
For this review, students will read What’s the Least I Can Believe and Still be a Christian?: A Guide to What Matters Most by Martin Thielen and write a response. The first half of the paper needs to provide a summary of the book by highlighting its key themes and insights. The second half of the paper will be a more personal, reflective response. Students should engage these questions:
- What were you most surprised by in this book?
- What did you agree/disagree with?
- What information did you find most important/helpful to read about?
