Also reply to student post below: A sale representative’s job is to assemble beneficial offers of an organization’s product and services to new and existing clients. representatives might be in charge of offers in a geological region, or they may spend significant time in moving explicit items or managing clients in a market division. In my opinion this hire would be great for John and USF. After handing over the responsibilities to the service advisor USF has missed out on add-on sales opportunities. John need someone to call on new customers and develop better relationships with current customers.

Factors that I would consider when hiring a sales representative:

Experience– the more experience the more money it would require keeping a good sale representative.

Skillset (Communication)– Do they have the skills to interact with prospects, listen to their needs and interest. Can they persuade potentially new add-ons by communicating product benefits and overcome objections.

Industry Competition– in order to have a long-standing business, the sales representative must protect accounts against competitors. They must be highly alert and aware of competitors activities with their product and strategies.

I will use the Salary-Plus-Commission Plan. This will motivate the sales Representative towards better result & only pay when they’re making money. Kokemuller (2019).
