Read the following three articles and further research the subject of privilege and oppression (at least two more articles and/or TED presentations):

• 4 of the Most Toxic Myths About Success
• White People Feel Triggered By Equality. Here Are 3 Reasons Why
Based on your understanding of the subject, write a reflective essay on the following topic:
Reflecting on a difficult case or a situation related to privilege and oppression that you have experienced throughout your life (personal or professional; you being the oppressed or the oppressor).
Reference the materials you have used for your essay (create a list at the end of the essay.)
The following questions may help guide your thought process and your writing:
• What happened?
• How did you interpret the situation?
• What were you thinking and feeling?
• What have you learned from this experience?
• In retrospect, what else could you have done?
The reflective essay should be about 3 pages long (~1,000 words):
• Don’t forget to write your name at the top of the document
• Use fonts that are easy to read (e.g., Arial, Times New Roman, Calibri)
• Use sufficient but not excessive font size (11-12 point form), and
• Use sufficient spacing between rows (1.5 spacing).
