Reflection and Putting it all Together
By now you probably realize that we have barely scratched the surface of what it means
to be vulnerable in the United States, or anywhere else in the world for that matter.
Hopefully, you get a sense of the work that still needs to be done to address health
inequity, inequality and vulnerability of populations in our communities and our nation.
Health inequity and disparities reduce the quality of life for everyone in one way or
another, not just those that belong to vulnerable groups.  However, as is the nature of
inequities, inequality, disparities, many face a greater burden than others. These
burdens are a part of the very fabric of our communities – each and every day, we need
only look around and see their impact on our citizens.  We, each one of us, must be
willing to step up and help to shoulder the burden, and to take a stand for equality and
and end to inequities and disparities. It is the right thing to do, for we are all in this
together.
