There are four specific goals of ENGAGE: Using intercultural dialogue as a starting point for global discourse and education Using technology for a variety of engagement and exchange models Creating and implementing learning objectives which are structured, facilitated, supported, and executed in a meaningful and relevant manner. Fostering a respect for cultural diversity, pluralism, and human rights.
Reusable Learning Objects (RLO’s) People to People Diplomacy Understanding the Other Building Bridges Through Social Media Critical Thinking Active Listening Conflict Management Leadership/Followership Problem Solving Effective Communication These “RLO’s”(reusable learning objects) can be used to help write the paper. It MUST be about AFRICA, and our interactions with Moroccan students specifically. The RLO’s are the skills developed during the semester so write about how they helped develop cultural skills. Now, ENGAGE is our learning platforms. We used Facebook and zoom to talk with our fellow students (including Moroccan students). Write about how they helped create cultural unity between us Americans and our Moroccan classmates along with the other instructions listed below. I just thought adding this bit would help with making things more clear. Address at least 3-4 RLO’s like critical thinking, building bridges through social media, effective communication, and conflict management.
Expectations:
Organize your thoughts and feelings about the ENGAGE content, learning platforms (i.e. Facebook, breakout rooms, slack, trello, etc.), learning outcomes, and anything else you feel needs to be addressed. Address high points of ENGAGE, as well as points that you felt could be improved. Address which of the four goals you felt were achieved and how, and which were not and why. Recommendations and final thoughts.
