Since transference and countertransference deals with the unconscious, it is important to review further. Additionally, there is typically always a licensure question or more on these topics as well.
While transference and countertransference can be an aspect of individual therapy, it is also of great relevance to group therapy where you could possibly have even multiple transferences as discussed in chapter 6. As practitioners, it is also important to recognize some of the key issues associated with countertransference as mentioned on page 107. There are also some interesting discussions in the text regarding countertransference issues related to group work with borderline and narcissistic personalities.
