Then, answer the following short-answer questions.

1. Which version did you watch or learn about?

2. In the film versions you are looking for consistency with the text. What areas align well with the source material and where does is change significantly? Why do you think the creators chose to make those changes?

3. For anything left out of the film that is in the book try to justify the filmmaker’s choices about why it was not included.

4. If you made a film version of the book, which elements would you change? Are there portions of the story to which you’d like to add content?

5. Why do so few films stay true to all parts of the books they portray? Have you ever seen a film that was exactly like the book? If so, did it make the movie more or less enjoyable? If not, why do you think that is?
