The research topic that I am interested in talking about is the coaching and gender combination. I wanted to investigate whether or not it would be useful to make female coaches head of male teams. Is it a good idea? What problems may they run into?’

Each student should select a sports management paper topic of his/her choice. The instructor MUST approve the topic. PAPER TOPICS ARE DUE BY January 17th. By February 7th you should turn in your thesis statement, your introductory paragraph, and at least one article you plan to use in your paper.

The paper must be typed, double-spaced, and 10-15 pages in length (THAT’S 10-15 PAGES OF TEXT!!) Regular margins should be used, as well as either Times New Roman or Courier 12 pt. Font ONLY. Research should be from at least 10 sources. The paper must be done in the APA format. All students must turn in two copies of their papers on the due date. The paper is due on February 21st.

HOW TO LOSE POINTS ON THIS ASSIGNMENT:1. Failure to have 10 sources (3 pts. per missed source).2. Paper is shorter than 10 pages of text (5 pts. per missing page).3. Failure to use quotes, not having any quotes, excessive use of a quote.4. YES, SPELLING AND GRAMMAR DO COUNT!!
